Prototype development

2018

Early prototype

2019

Bags replaced with bottles, 3D-printed tubing splitter replaced with polypropylene T-connectors. Tubing system is now made entirely of autoclavable materials.

Rearrangement of the device makes tubing much easier to remove for autoclaving

2020

Circuit board and 3D printed parts optimized for the rearranged device

Working prototype

2021

Complete redesign of circuit board: reduced tubing cross-over, OD sensor improved with better laser and signal detection circuit on separate PCB modules

Laser and photodiode modules merged into single PCBs for increased rigidity and lower part count.

Working prototype with more robust body design

Stronger valve motors for increased reliability

Reduced part count, increased splash protection for electronics, improved PCB connectors and cable management.
